

Ten Thousand Islands
We left Marco Island mid morning, music blaring, sun shining with a song in our hearts as we sailed down to Ten Thousand Islands through the inter coastal. It is only about a 3 hour trip to our favorite anchorage at Tiger Key. The seas were calm ahead for now but were set to pick up soon. Boca Grande, Cayo Costa and Marco Island
4/22/21 Cayo Costa is a state park located adjacent to Boca Grande and it’e one of our favorites for sure. Its a huge protected anchorage where you are basically in a basin surrounded by land so it is always beautiful and calm. Its a minute with the dinghy to the state park, 30 seconds to a tiny beach that we anchor right next to especially for the doggies and we always have the space almost all to ourselves because you really have to know the lay of the land to navigate the


The sea is calling and we must go!
We returned from our last trip in August of 2020 not knowing that within a couple of weeks, we would be hit by an unexpected storm within our marina that would damage our hull Although it would not sink us, it would render us useless for months dealing with insurance and boat yards who were inundated with covid-escaping ocean goers! And so it was today… April 16th, that we finally could free the ropes and set sail out into the big wide open. We left, fully stocked with food
